NEW INN HALL matric. 1 Feb. 1632-3, aged 18; B.A. 3 July 1636, rector of Langton Matravers, Dorset, 1646, and of Rimpton, Somerset, 1653 (his father, formerly Cheverell, rector of East Stoke 1614, s. of John Cheverell, of Buckland, Dorset); served the cure or donative of Wincanton, silenced 1662, died in Dorchester gaol, brother of Timothy and grandfather of Henry 1689.
