The links are a little tentative, but it seems probably that the schoolmaster was appointed to St Warburg by the dean and chapter. Cobham and Stroud are both within easy reach of Rochester.
In Fielding (1910) MI in Rochester cathedral quoted: ' Guilielmus Dormer, AM, de Hoo vicarius; objit June 24 1729 aetat 48. Buried Rochester cathedral June 28 1729'.
