Adm. Fell.-Com. at SIDNEY, Feb. 15, 1819; from Queen's College, Oxford, whence he had matric. May 31, 1816, age 18. Eldest s. of the Rev. Richard (Magdalen Hall, Oxford, 1789), R. of Minster, Cornwall (and Catherine, dau. of John Walter, of The Times). B. July 31, 1797, at Teddington, Middlesex. Bapt. at Teddington, Oct. 19, 1797. ' Matric. Lent, 1819; B.A. 1822. When age 17 at Oxford he eloped with Charlotte Monkton; they were stopped at Witham and married the following day at Taunton, where Admiral Monkton lived.
