He was already serving the cure of Burbage at his ordination as priest 20/9/1696.
It is not certain that the Thomas Andrews resigning as vicar of Burbage in 1741 (no Ed. Qual. is given) is the same one as was instituted there in 1696 (B.A.). It seems a long stint, but there is no record of any other institution between those dates.
There is a possibility in Venn: Matric. sizar from KING'S, Easter, 1689; B.A. 1692-3; M.A. 1700.
but none of the possibles in Foster are recorded as B.A. - Foster is surely incorrect in assigning the vicarage of Burbage to the Thomas Andrews, s. of George of Battersea as the latter only matric. in 1699, by which time Thomas Andrews had already been vicar of Burbage for 3 years.
