Adm. (age 18) at KING'S, a scholar from Eton, July 8, 1779. [S. of the Rev. William. B. at South Tawton, Devon.] Bapt. Oct. 3, 1759. ' Matric. Easter, 1782; B.A. 1783; M.A. 1786. Fellow, 1782-97. One of the most extravagant and dissipated men in the University. Took Holy Orders, which no one would have supposed, either from his dress or address. Ord. priest (Peterb.) Dec. 20, 1787; V. of Little Finborough, Suffolk, 1792, where he became a great favourite
for he kept an excellent hunter, rode well up to hounds, drank very hard
