Some confusion about this man in Venn and Foster, but the following fits the dates of his birth and death:
Foster: son of John of Cubley, co. Derby, pleb., ST EDMUND HALL, matric. 14 Mar. 1798 aged 20; BA 1801; MA 1809.
Venn under another of same name points to one who was PC of Walthamstow, Essex 1847-53, "M.A."; master of Grammar School of Clipston, Northants; curate of Clipston, died 27 Jun. 1852 aged 74, at Clapham, and identifies him with John Bull, MA (Oxford St Edmund Hall). This fits with the age of the St Edmund Hall man
