Adm. pens. (age 16) at PEMBROKE, Oct. 27, 1785. S. of William, of Swaffham, Norfolk. ' Matric. Michs. 1786; Scholar; B.A. 1790. Ord. deacon (Norwich) Nov. 21, 1790. Left the Church of England and became a Unitarian; for some time a popular preacher at Birmingham. Minister of the Old Meeting House, Birmingham, 1819-21, and of York Street Chapel, St James's Square, London, 1824-6. Resided latterly in lodgings in Featherstone Buildings, Holborn, London. Died suddenly Jan. 13, 1832, aged 62. He had accumulated a number of sovereigns, found in his drawers by his landlord who advertised for his relations in The Times, Jan. 16, 1832. (G.
