  Adm. pens. at ST CATHARINE'S, Nov. 14, 1822. Migrated to Trinity Hall, Dec. 13, 1823. One of these names was s. and h. of Enoch, solicitor, of Uttoxeter, Staffs., and Mary, dau. of Thomas Philips, of Leek. Perhaps at Repton in 1811, ‘– Hand, of Uttoxeter.’ He was R. of Handsworth, Yorks., 1830-70-. (Manchester 'Grace, or act of the University, mostly for degrees.'Gr. Sch. Reg., 2, 167, sub Enoch.) Another was s. of John, R. of Adstock, Bucks., 1804-. (Foster, Index Eccles.; Crockford, which calls him ‘LL.B. 1826, of Queens' College.’)
