Foster: s. of William, of Winchester, Hants, gent. Magdalen Hall, matric 26 Mar 1675, aged 16; demy Magdalen Coll. 1676-9, BA 1678, fellow 1679-92, MA 1681, proctor 1689, BD 1690, DD 1693, expelled by the commissioners of James II in 1687, restored 1688, rector of Aston-juxta-Birmingham 1687, of Woodeaton, Oxon, 1690, and of Slymbridge, co. Gloucester, 1692, until his death 24 Nov 1692, father of John, 1714 (CCED 5361). See Rawlinson, v, 43; Bloxam, vi, 10.
Seems Foster in error about date of death and ending of his holding benefice of Slimbridge: the will of a William Craddock of Slimbridge in TNA is dated 23 Dec. 1727; his institution at Slimbridge in 1692 and his succession in 1727 by the next recorded rector are described in 'Notes Historical and Architectural Slymbrydge, Glos, on the parish of Slymbridge' at booksnow1.scholarsportal.info/ebooks/oca2/35 (accessed 4/10/2013. John Craddock does not appear to have been rector of Slimbridge - assume error for William - William's son John would have been born in 1696
