Problem with a number of the family surnamed Jackson, particularly occasioned by Foster's entries of those who studied at Oxford. It would seem that two others named Joseph Jackson have in Foster been confused with the one below as well as with others (Phineas, Theophilus, Henry) and on line genealogy sites are also confused.
The man below does appear to have been curate of Bromley (not vicar - as put here by parliament); John Dunkin in Outlines of the History and Antiquities of Bromley, Kent (1815)since 1647 confirms this post and tells of his bequests in his will left to charities in Bromley (p. 26)
