Implicated in the riot which took place in College rooms, for which his brother Robert was rusticated. Ord. deacon (Durham) Sept. 5, 1779; priest, Sept. 24, 1780; C. of Merrington, Durham, 1779. P.C. of Hamsterley, 1808-25. P.C. of Witton-le-Wear, 1808. Married Elizabeth Arthy and had issue, a son. Died May 3, 1834. Brother of Robert (1772) and John (1772). (T. A. Walker, 340; D. S.
