During his incumbency he built a new church and parsonage. Chaplain to Lord Dunsany, 1842, and to Lord Radstock, 1849. Hon. Canon of Ripon, 1860-4. A somewhat bigoted advocate of total abstinence, and a popular lecturer. Author, religious and historical. Editor, The Village Churchman. Married, 1834, Sarah, dau. of the Rev.
