Fellow, 1612-29. 'Travelled into Italy, studied the law, and was a Justice of the Peace, but afterwards took Holy Orders.' V. of Broad Chalke, Wiltshire, 1629. Died s.p.; buried at Broad Chalke 23 Aug., 1644. Admon., Archd. Sarum. Brother of Edward (1618), etc. (Harwood; E. C. Waters, Chester Family, 221, gives burial at Isleham Oct., 1639.)
