Foster: of Cheshire, gent., ST MARY HALL, matric. 11 May 1604 aged 18; BA 4 Feb. 1607; MA 13 Jun. 1610; BD 25 Jun. 1617; DD 12 May 1619; principal of his hall 1620-4; perhaps beneficed in Herefordshire; see Lansdowne MS 984, f. 19 and Foster Ind. Eccles.
Foster wrongly attributes the benefice of Kyre Wyard to another of this name from BNC but that person does not appear to be DD as the rector of Kyre was at this time, also his dates at Oxford too late; a note on some of the CCEd records for the DD Richard Parker, in describing him as non-resident, mention that he 'liveth at Skire, Worcs' which can be taken to be Kyre which was in the middle of some of his other benefices.
