Michs. 1831; scholar 1832; BA 1835; MA 1840. Ordained deacon Bristol litt. dim. (from Exeter) 14 June 1835, priest 1836. C of Brixham 1841; PC Lower Brixham 1847-55; V of St Mark's, Torwood, Torquay 1855-67. Married 24 June 1846 Anna Maria Maxwell, only dau. of Rev. H F Lyte of Berryhead, Brixham and had issue. Latterly of Blagdon Barton, Devon. JP for Devon. Died 1 Dec. 1867. Buried at St Mary's, Collaton, a church built by him about 1864 in memory of his dau., Mary.
