Venn: Matric. pens, from St John's, Easter, 1611; B.A. from Corpus Christi, 1614. Probably ord. deacon (Peterb.) Dec. 12, 1614, 'B.A. of St John's'; priest. May 5, 1616. Doubtless the distinguished minister of Egham, Surrey; minister there for 46 years, 'B.D.'; ejected, 1662. An eminent divine and church historian; intimate with Archbishop Ussher.
