Both these records describe FF as MA and fellow of Trinity College, Oxford. But there is a real problem linking them as the ordination as P takes place at an earlier date than the ordination as D. That said, there is only one possibility in Foster: Finch, Francis, s. Abr., of Oxford city, gent. New College, matric 1 July 1698, aged 16; fellow of Trinity Coll., BA 1702, MA 1705, BD 1714; will at Oxford, proved 15 June 1731. I am inclined to think, therefore, that there is some error in the source or the transcription.
