  Foster gives for a Henry Caesar Hawkins - son of Charles of Dymock, Herefs (sic) [Gloucs] gent., CHRIST CHURCH matric. 29 Jan 1818 aged 20; BA 1821; colonel Scots Fusilier Guards, died unmarried.
  I find yet no evidence of military career following his curacies at Down Hatherley and Lydney/Aylburton in Gloucs. up to 1831. Other evidence (e.g. Oxford Calendar 1821, University Intellegence in The Christian Remembrancer Vol 3 1821 give the same university career as Foster with the full name of Henry Caesar Hankins Hawkins. The note on his ordination record as priest giving baptismal date in May 1797 ties up with age at Matriculation. Further, G. Mag 93, Part 2 of 1823 gives record of his marriage to Mary, daughter of John Turner of Hatherley House (in the parish where he was curate) - either Foster is incorrect about this or perhaps he was a widower at the time of his death. There is evidence in London Gazette of a Revd Henry Caesar Hankins Hawkins in a land transfer case in Chancery, living at Chilton Polden, Somerset in Oct. 1858- the name is so singular it could be this man?
