His will [TNA PROB 11/370], transcribed by VCH Worcestershire, confirms Burke's details in 'Genealogies and Heraldic History of the Commoners etc.', Vol IV, 'Coke of Truseley, co Derbyshire', p.273 that he was eldest son of George Bishop of Bristol and of Hereford (CCED ID 22861), that he lived at and held a manor in parish of Suckley in Worcs., was vicar of Eastnor, Herefs, Chancellor (chori) at Hereford and prebendary of Hereford, lost those livings in 1649 and was restored 1660, died 1681/2
