Triesd by a royalist war council for supposed conspiracy; the charge was dismissed but he was subjected to much persecution from the soldiery. Afterwards lived at Weobley, Herefs., then Abergavenny, Monmouthshire; latterly at Awre, Gloucs. Died 1 Dec. 1668 aged 64. (See Calamy II, 31; Masters; ODNB)
ODNB describes him as 'puritan divine' and allowed to preach in public without subscribing because of his moderate views after his ejection.
