Foster: son of William of Felton, Salop, gent., HERTFORD matric. 4 Nov. 1752
In addition to being rector of Bromfield (Herefs.) from 1769 to 1821 he appears to be better known for being permanent curate at Church Hulme (later Holmes Chapel) in the parish of Sandbach, Cheshire from 1757 until 1821 where he died aged 89; see in particular "The History of the Ancient Parish of Sandbach", JP Eanwaker (accessed on books.google, 12 Mar. 2016). In both locations he used curates, his son, Thomas, in both places and his son Charles Bishope at Chapel Hulme. Both his marriages were at the latter (1759 and 1785), and both sons were baptised there (1791 and 1795)
