Probably adm. at Lincoln's Inn, Jan. 21, 1757, as s. of Rev. Thomas C., R. of Charlton, Kent. Called to the Bar, 1767. Succeeded his father as R. of Charlton, Kent, 1781-9. Married Catherine Crosweller. Died July 31, 1789; M.I. at Charlton, where his age is given as 40 [see Records of Rochester]. Father of Thomas (1794 CCE1745) and probably of William (1798).
