Clarke) Professor of Music, Cambridge University; (father) of Hereford (and of Susannah Grainger); born there 1808; school Shrewsbury. Matric. Michs 1826; BA 1830; migrated to DOWNING 1843; MA 1843; V of Granborough, Bucks 1845-55; domestic chaplain to Earl of Mornington; resided for some time at Penzance. Magdalen, Oxford 30 May 1790 aged 22; son of John Clarke of St Mary, Gloucester; assumed additional surname of Whitfeld.
