Link of this man with the Worcs. and Warwks. parishes suggested by 'Witley: Survey of the parishes and chapels of Witley' R.A. Wilson, 1943 - witleysoralhistory.org (accessed 8 Dec. 2017) where the entry for Thomas Wright as rector of Witley states he was rector of Upper Sapey 'about 1642'; it also states he was 'intruded into Hartlebury (Worcs) during the Commonwealth, ejected at the Restoration' and 'said wild horses would not drag him to use the new Prayer Book, but he thought better of it and was presented by Mr Foley' to Witley. Died 1701; mural tablet to him in Great Witley church.
