Unsure of this biog. entry as there could be confusion with another of this name (ID 50585); both are said to have been R of Great Houghton, Northants, but it is the man below who comes from the family of Francis Arundell who at the time held the advowson of Great Houghton and was in the family of the line of rectors here during that time. Also the dates of ordination are uncertain and may have been confused with 50585, in fact, it is possible that he might not have been ordained priest. Further problem is that he was at Trinity Cambridge and 5085 at Trinity Oxford;
Entry in Venn which could be his: Adm. pens aged 17, TRINITY, 4 Jul. 1698; 2nd son of Francis of Stoke Bruerne, Northants., arm., MA 1705 (Com. Reg.); Incorp. Oxford 1709; adm. at the Middle Temple 24 Aug. 1698; ordained deacon (Peterborough) 23 May 1700 as 'MA'; brother of Francis (1693); died 1718 (Baker II, 244)
Foster also has him as William ARUNDALE MA from Trinity Cambrdige 1705; incorp. 5 Mar. 1708/9.
