However, the death date here is open to challenge. In an email of 18 Nov 2013 Keith Hazell reports a report from the Northampton Mercury, Saturday, 13 October 1810: "On Tuesday sennight, aged 73, the Rev. Marmaduke Matthews, Vicar of St. Marys, Warwick, and of Wellingborough, in this county, Domestic Chaplain to the Earl of Warwick, and one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Warwick.It was his enviable lot to go through the several duties incumbent on him, as a magistrate, a clergyman, and a christian, with an irreproachable character"
