  Foster: pleb. (altered to arm.). EXETER COLL. matric 3 April 1658; B.A. 1660, M.A. 19 Jan. 1663-4, B. & D.D. 1681, vicar of Bray, Berks., chaplain to Charles II, etc. (sic), died 24 Aug 1709, described by Hearne as an old, rich, stingy turncoat, hated in his parish. See Hearne, i. 302, ii. 24; & Fasti, ii. 381.
