'Staffordshire Incumbents and Parochial Records (1530-1680', William Salt Archaeological Society (1915), pp. 265-6 adds SL was born at Lutwyche Park, Salop; ordained before he matriculated at St John's College Oxford; and died in 1642 (a reference we owe to David Hunt, 22 October 2017).
