s. John of Bandonbridge, co. Cork, p.p. Trinity Coll., matric. 15 Dec., 1671, aged 17; B. A. 11 Feb., 1674-75. On 16 February 1676 Mr. Zachary Braly, scholar, was admitted Prebendary of Currograngemore, Rector of Kilmeen, Vicar of Castrumventry [Castleventry] and Drinagh in West Cork. In 1671 Zachary Braly was appointed Curate of Abbeystrewry [Abbeystrowry.] From 1676 to 1688 he served as Vicar of Drinagh, Castrumventry and appears in the Royal Visitation of Kilmeen; and from 1688 to 1697, as Vicar of Moviddy, Kilbonane and Aglish. From 1676 to 1697 he was also Prebendary of Currowgrangemore. He resigned as Vicar of Castrumventry, Rector of Kilmeen, and Prebendary of Currowgrangemore in 1688 and was collated to vicarage of Moviddy, Kilbonane and Aglish in Cork. He married Elizabeth Chapman, widow of Bawdripp on 27 June 1693 at Cossington, Somerset. (Source, parish register.) According to the parish record book of St. Peters Ballymodan, Mr. Zacharias Braily, clerk, rector of Moviddy, died 18 June 1697 and is apparently buried in the old graveyard of St. Peters.
