Edward Wedlake Brayley, The History of Surrey, (1878) vol 4 p. 139 states that Maggs was instituted at Ewell in 1802. According to the Vestry Minutes, Maggs died on 6 Sep 1824. Information supplied by Brian Bouchard 22/08/2013
