  Fielding (1910) gives burial as 17/2/1774.
  
  Spelling of surname given in person record that recorded on his memorial stone in Farnborough church (in front of the altar). The family name was generally spelled either Meetkerke or Meetkirke.
  
  This information was supplied by Mark Hanbury Brown in an email communication to CCE on 14 Nov. 2004. Mr Brown also comments: "You should find that there are other mentions of the name in the full database: the same man was rector of Ickleford with Pirton, Herts from about 1735 to 1748, where he was succeeded by his brother Robert. One of his ancestors was rector of Easton, Hants and a prebendary of Winchester in the seventeenth century."
