J.P. Earwaker, East Cheshire, 2 vols., (1877-1880), 2.127. Son of John Hyde, Vicar of Mottram [33320], to whom he served as Curate and with whom he was appointed rural dean of Macclesfield Deanery. Bapt. 1580 On 22 May 1610 he was touched for the King's Evil at Greenwich. He was bur. at Mottram, 3 Jan. 1617/8.
Earwaker notes that he succeeded Laurence Didsburie, who was bur. at Mottram on 19 Aug. 1600. However, there must have been a gap between the two.
