Some uncertainty/error about some dates and events but Foster gives as follows:
of BNC; BCL (at BNC) 18 Feb. 1527/8; DCL 5 July 1532; V of Buckden, Hunts 1514 (?); V of St Mongeham, Kent 1538; prebendary of Alveley in the college of Bridgnorth, Salop; chaplain to Henry VIII, and then to Mary I; canon of Hereford 1538; dean of Hereford 1541-58; portioner Upper Hall, Ledbury 1546; R of Eaton Bishop Herefs. 1552, and of Lugwardine 1553; Archbishop of Dublin 1555-67 and Lord Chancellor of Ireland 1555-7; Bishop of Oxford 1567; buried in the Church at Burford, 1 Nov. 1568; see Ath. ii, 802; OHS i, 151; Cooper i, 280; Cotton ii, 19; DNB; Foster Ind. Eccles.
Biographical register of Univ. Oxford 1501-40 gives information that he was ordained deacon 18 Dec. 1535, priest 15 Apr. 1546; was R of the moiety of Ferriby, Lincs 18 June 1533-40; R of Bishopsbourne, Kent 6 Sep. 1538, adding that Cooper in Athenae Cantab. above is mistaken in claiming that he was at Cambridge Univ. prior to being at Oxford, and gaining a BCL there in 1510 - this is believed to be a man by the name of Curwyn. The 1514 appointment at Buckden looks suspicious, somewhile before he obtained his Oxford degrees and before his ordination, but could be possible as DNB suggests he was presented to this living by a relative who was a senior cleric. His brother, Richard, is believed to have been V of Buckden in 1530)
See also Atkinson, Worthies of Westmoreland i, 81; ii, 149 which states he came from High Knipe, Bampton, Westmoreland.
