William, of Sussex), chaplain to Sir John Digby, Earl of Bristol, and to George, Duke of Buckingham, prebendary of Peterborough "while a junior master," rector of Stedham with Hayshot, Sussex, 1634, and of East Lavant 1636, until sequestered from the former in 1646, and the latter in 1645, prebendary of Chichester 1628, precentor and dean 1660, bishop of Peterborough 1663, until his death 9 March, 1678-9; father of Thomas 1655.
