Earwaker, East Cheshire, 2 vols (1877-1880), 1.295n, notes the baptism at Abraham of one son, Abraham (2 June 1669) and the baptism (25 May 1673) and burial (17 April 1674) of a daughter, Hannah.Although two sources give Jackson as instituted Rector of Northenden on 7 March 1676, the Register of Orders (7 July 1677) records Jackson still as Curate of Stockport and John Cooke, Rector of Northenden since 1668, still as Rector. J.P. Earwaker, East Cheshire, 2 vols (1877-1880). states that there is no mention of Jackson in the Northenden parish registers, but notes that his marriage in recorded in the Cheadle parish registers on 19 September 1676, when he is described as Curate at Stockport. 1677 is the last date where Cooke is stated as Rector of Northenden. Francis Wood was instituted there on 14 March 1681: a royal presentation, the king's patronage by simony, lapse of time or otherwise'
