R. of Little Wolston, Bucks., 1796-1834. Morning and Afternoon Preacher at Grosvenor Chapel, South Audley Street, 1802. His name occurs in the correspondence connected with the charges brought before the House of Commons, against the Duke of York, by G. P. Wardle, M.P. A letter from him to the Duke of Portland, soliciting his recommendation to the Deanery of Salisbury and offering ample pecuniary remuneration in return, probably put an end to his hopes of promotion.
