Comments
Although this man is recorded as BD this was presumably a formerly gratnted STB (by ecclesiastic authories?); he does not appear in Foster or Venn
He was formerly Abbot of St Oswalds abbey, Gloucester. Fasti (le Neve) (where he is called Jennings) says he was made dean of Gloucester in foundation charter 1541; dean until he died 4 Nov. 1565 M.I in Glouester Cathedral.
A man of this name was R of All Hallows Lombard Street, London from 1538 to 1552 - this in direct gift of Archbp of Canterbury and linked to Deanery of Arches. (CCED ID 90215)
Could he also be ID 76545 R of Brightelmstone (Chichester) as death date is 1565 and in some of the records he is referred to as dom.?
