  *Fasti gives 1572 as his inst. as preb. of Gloucester, but ? for its end. States he was dead by 5 Oct. 1617 (burial at Beverstone) but may have resigned preb. earlier. He was preb. in 1575, 1580, 1585, 1590,1600 (?),1605 (?) but not 1615; the record for Beverstone for his death in Oct. 1617 most likely correct; and entry for 1619 for a similar name may be error not taking into account the death of 18 mths earlier
