Michs. 1787; Scholar (as of Middlesex) 1787; B.A. 1791; M.A. 1794; D.D. 1820. Ord. deacon (Lichfield, Litt. dim. from Norwich) Dec. 18, 1791; priest (Bristol) Mar. 16, 1793. Married Miss Balchen, dau. of John Balchen, Esq., June 1, 1799. Died Nov. 5, 1842, aged 83 (sic), at Bournemouth. [According to G. Mag., 1843, I. 103, he died aged 83, and the note in Hennessy's Novum Repertorium gives 84; but this cannot be reconciled with the appearance of his name in the Harrow School Lists in 1780, while the date of matriculation also suggests that he was about ten years younger.] (St John's Coll. Adm., IV; D. R. G. Causton; Harrow Sch. Reg.)
