Ordination (priest) record says formerly fellow of St. Catharine's College, Cambridge (supported by account in Venn); subscription just describes him as fellow with no qualification.

Ord. priest (Ely) Dec. 20, 1702. R. of North Fambridge, Essex, 1703. Reader at Gray's Inn. A distinguished botanist. Died at Gray's Inn, Apr. 15, 1715. Buried in St Andrew's, Holborn. (D.N.B.)
