  Earwaker, 2.547 (Taxal church):
  Probably Edward Pott who matric. from Brasenose College, Oxford, 22 March 1698/9, aged 19, son of John Pott of Morton, Cheshire. BA 13 Oct. 1702. Parish registers record his burial, 9 July 1753. A small brass plaque on the north wall of the chancel records his death on 5 July 1753.
