Married (1) his cousin, Frances, dau. of John Christian, of Ewanrigg, Mar. 4, 1773, at Whitehaven and had issue; (2) Robina, dau. of Matthew Morthland (Mortland), of Rindmuir, near Glasgow, Feb. 18, 1790, at St Nicholas, Lombard Street, London.
