An excellent draughtsman, illustrating some of his works with his own hand. Author, The Chronicles of the Christian Ages; History of Langton and a Portion of the Gartree Hundred of Leicestershire; Family of Layton; Archdeacons of Leicester; Bishops of Peterborough, etc. Married and had issue.
