  See VCH Warwickshire 2 p.346 for Trevis's appointment as schoolmaster of Nuneaton Grammar School, and a long running dispute with the school Governors in which he was accused of whipping the boys excessively, bumping their heads against the desks and coming into school 'full of beare'.
