Took Holy Orders. Curate in a retired village in Lincs. (G. Mag. gives Lancs.). Private Chaplain to the Duke of Ancaster. Resided latterly at Bath for the benefit of the waters. Author, Some Account of the English Stage from the Restoration in 1660 to 1830, which forms the basis of most exact knowledge concerning the stage. Died Dec. 15, 1839, at Bath.
