Maurice of The Guards, of Ayscough Fee Hall, Spalding, and of Stanway Hall, Essex. B. Dec. 19, 1757, at Stanway Hall.] Had been Cornet in the 3rd (Prince of Wales) Dragoon Guards, Aug. 14, 1775; Lieut., Dec. 26, 1778; Senior Lieut., 1784. Ord. deacon (Winchester) July 24, 1785; priest (Lincoln, Litt. dim. from Winchester) Mar. 12, 1786. Of Sible Hedingham, Essex, 1788. V. of Weston St Mary, Lincs., 1805-32, and Master of the Grammar School at Spalding for some time. Married, Oct. 27, 1788, Frances, dau. of George Weller Poley, of Boxted Hall, Suffolk.
