John), admitted to Lincoln's Inn 1596, preacher 1594, rector of Burgh Clere, Hants, chaplain to Q. Eliz. 1598 and to James I., canon of Windsor 1604, dean of Gloucester 1609, until his death 21 Nov., 1617; his son Giles, of New Coll., died 1629, aged 21; probably father also of John 1614 and of Nathaniel & Richard 1615.
