  FOSTER: Son of Thomas Aldersey of Spurstow, Cheshire, arm. BRASENOSE COLLEGE, matric. 28 March 1691, aged 16; BA 1694; MA 1700, of Aldersey and Spurstow. Rector of Wigan, 1714 until his death in 1742 [recte 1741].
