R. of St Olave's, Hart Street, London, 1837-57. Married Charlotte Davis. Died Mar. 24, 1857, suddenly, while on a visit to his s. at Staunton Harold, Leics. Father of the above. His younger brother Thomas (1803-73; see D.N.B.) was the inventor of Letts' Diaries, and erected large factories at New Cross for these and other publications. (Clergy List; Canon Reginald Letts.)
