Son of Peter Harrison of Hindley, Wigan. Living in Deane parish when his son Maurice was bap. at Bolton 24 Oct. 1636. Curate of walmsley c. 1640.
A committed Presbyterian - according to Adam martindale one of the theee men 'most deeply engaged' for establishing Presbyterianism in Lancashire. After ejection he attended Ashton church until the Five Mile Act drove him to Salford.
He d. 31 Dec. 1670, aged 56, bur. in the chancel at Ashton under Lyne. Funeral sermon preached by thomas Ellison, Rector there.
